A mural is a picture — it has to line up
Unlike regular wallpaper, a mural is one image printed across a set of numbered panels. If the first panel is off by half an inch, the horizon tilts, a branch breaks at a seam, or a face ends up behind a door. We plan the whole wall before anything goes up, so the focal point lands where you want it to be seen.
Murals we install
- Scenic and panoramic murals (forests, landscapes, skylines)
- Chinoiserie and hand-painted-style murals, including gold and metallic grounds
- Custom-printed and photo murals sized to your wall
- Kids' room and nursery murals
- Peel-and-stick murals and traditional pasted murals
- Branded and graphic murals for offices, restaurants and retail (see commercial installation)
How we install a wall mural
- Measure before you order. Mural companies print to your wall size plus bleed. We measure width and height at several points, because walls and ceilings are rarely perfectly square, and tell you exactly what dimensions to give the printer.
- Dry-lay the panels. We unroll and lay out panels in order on the floor to confirm numbering, overlaps and print quality.
- Center the image. We decide where the key elements fall relative to windows, doors, the bed, the vanity or the sofa, and set the starting plumb line from there.
- Prep the wall. Murals are often large, smooth images that show every bump. Walls are patched, sanded and primed with a wallcovering primer.
- Hang and match. Panels go up in sequence, overlapped or butted per the manufacturer, and matched at every seam. We wrap inside corners carefully so the image continues naturally.
- Trim the bleed. Excess at the ceiling and baseboard is trimmed with fresh blades for a crisp finish.
Accent walls
A mural or a bold wallpaper on one wall is the easiest way to change a room in a day — behind a bed, a dining table, a reception desk or a home-office backdrop. If you're deciding between a full room and an accent wall, we'll show you options during the free on-site visit.

Frequently asked questions
What size mural should I order?
Order to your measured wall size plus the bleed the manufacturer recommends (often 2–4 inches on each side). We'll measure for you during the free estimate so the print fits.
Can a mural go across a corner?
Yes. We split and wrap the panel at inside corners so the picture keeps flowing. On outside corners we wrap and plan the cut so nothing important lands on the edge.
Peel-and-stick or pasted mural — which is better?
Pasted murals usually give flatter seams and last longer. Peel-and-stick is easier to remove, which suits rentals and kids' rooms. Both need a smooth, primed wall.
Can you install a mural on a ceiling or stairwell?
Yes. We work on two-story foyers and stairwells with proper ladders and planks, and we also install ceiling murals.
